Candid Reflections and Fresh Beginnings: Navigating Life's Unexpected Turns with Speaking Basics

Updated: Dec 15, 2023

Person undergoing therapy

It's tough for me to articulate my current situation because I'm still in shock and trying to recover. The recent flood of narratives surrounding my life, touching upon aspects like childhood antics, alcoholism, and unemployment, has cast a shadow on the familiar landscape I once knew. It prompts me to question if the world that enveloped me a few years ago is indeed the same, or if my perception has undergone a profound shift. Not that I aspired to change after a particular moment a few years ago in my life, but that was at a very personal level, especially not for anybody but myself, giving scope and discounts to my way of living, and having the desired change gradually. I think that true and sustainable changes can only be gradual. Over the last few months, I've only raised suspicions and kept posting to algorithms, if not publicly then privately. Out of those suspicions which feel like utter nonsense now, I think I can raise many issues including politics, economics, technology, religion, and whatnot, I have not spared any sphere of life I take. I feel like I have hurt a lot of people by doing so. I apologize to them.

I live in India and we are not a wealthy country. It's customary for us to consider new ways as means to bring economic prosperity to our homes or communities. The Internet can be considered one such way. In addition to making life easier for people, the Internet can also be classified as a source of economic prosperity. My previous stint with the internet in the form of educational videos and posts was an experiment and accompanied that thought process. With this new experiment, I wish to enjoy the process more and think less about making money because thoughtfully if you weigh making money more than enjoying the process then the opposite happens, you tend to be poor and depressed. Writing is cool; it has caught my interest. It appears to organize chaotic thoughts well and enhance clarity in thoughts. While thinking about and starting blogging, I was able to have objectives, at least rough ones, if not clear ones.

We frequently search the internet for solutions to our problems, and most of the time we find them and they seem to be feasible. When confronted with similar situations, I frequently find myself pondering how individuals from previous civilizations or generations might have come up with solutions to their challenges. From my perspective, it was either through previous experience or practice that turned into a ritual or for recent ones, it was through books. The primary difference is the speed at which we find solutions to our problems. I'm not opposed to this, but the solution to certain life problems necessitates longevity and sustainability. Books have a built-in slowness and patience that make them sustainable solution providers. By connecting the internet world to books, I aim to create a sense of slowness and patience in a world that is becoming faster daily because of our ever-increasing dependency on the internet. I think there is a decline in reading habits, even among those who are expected to have them. If I were to be prosecuted, I would say that I focussed so heavily on economic prosperity that I missed out on the little things in life, which is why I never read more than my textbooks. My goal is to go back to the basics by providing blogs based on important excerpts and themes from the books. There is also a selfish desire to develop reading habits of my own, which I think will keep me on my toes. I am not freezing the topics as that will curb freedom and I wish to keep the blog open-ended.

I will not say that I will not use AI while fulfilling the above-stated objective as it seems to be a great handy tool. I will use it to improvise but not to think.
